3herosoft DivX to DVD Burner can help you create your own DVD discs. Its graphic interface is quite similar to those of many batch media converters; therefore, you will not have any difficulty to use it if you are already familiar with this kind of application.
Two types of discs are supported: DVD5 and DVD9, and if you select one of these types, you will be able to see how much available space is still left on the disc while you are adding contents. Unfortunately, this DVD burner only supports AVI files using the DivX codec. Importing files can be easily done by dragging the files onto the program’s interface or by using the standard folder browsing method. Moreover, you can import complete folders, which is in consonance with the tool’s batch processing feature. If you need to check the contents of the added files, you can preview them on the built-in player.
Unlike other similar tools supporting various editing features, this one seems to allow only trimming. By selecting the initial and end frames, you can extract a segment from the source video. However, you cannot create various clips from the same original file.
In order to facilitate navigating through the DVD, you can also create a menu. Luckily for those with poor design skills, there are multiple eye-appealing templates to choose from. It is a pity that despite the fact that I seemed to do all the necessary steps correctly, I did not manage to preview the menu.
Finally, before actually starting to create the DVD, you should tweak other parameters, such as video quality, TV standard, resize method and burning speed. Fortunately, not only standard discs can be created, but also DVD folders and ISO image files.
In general, 3herosoft DivX to DVD Burner is a fine application. However, it is absolutely limited allowing just a video file type. Moreover, you will perhaps miss such editing functions as adding various subtitles or audio tracks.
